Military life changes everything, from your routines and relationships, to the way your spouse connects at home. From deployments to the transition back to civilian life, it’s no surprise that marriage can feel like a challenge of its own. If you’ve ever wondered:

This workshop is for you.

Whether you're new to military life or navigating retirement, this session is a chance to learn, connect, and walk away feeling seen, supported, and hopeful. Through storytelling and a bit of brain science, you’ll gain insight into the invisible impacts of military life on marriage, as well as what to do about it.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Troy Nickel is a seasoned research psychologist with deep expertise in behavioral health, corrections, and healthcare management. As Summit's Director of Research & Quality, he brings a data-driven perspective to enhance patient outcomes and support innovation in holistic care practices.

Troy also serves as an adjunct professor, teaching psychology at local colleges and inspiring the next generation of professionals. Outside of work, he values time with family, enjoys literature, and participates in sports.
